There is a new scam starting to hit users inboxes claiming to be from the ATO regarding the governments recently announced Job Keeper Payment Scheme. It asks you to send copies of your Driver’s License and Medicare Card to validate your eligibility and confirm that you’re not fraudulently accessing these funds.
This is a phishing scam aimed at collecting your private details for use in identity fraud. I’m guessing this will be used to fraudulently claim Job Keeper payments from the government by masquerading as you if you were to provide your license and Medicare Card details. Please forward this to all your staff.
